Volunteer With Us.

Cofradia Cortes Bilingual School is looking for dedicated, English speaking volunteers to teach English to our students. Here, you will be able to gain valuable teaching experience, meet and make new friends, and experience Honduran culture.

In exchange for your time, room and board will be provided. You will have shared housing with the other volunteers, with a community kitchen and rooftop to enjoy.

On the weekends, you can tour Cofradia, San Pedro Sula, and the surrounding areas. There is lots of beautiful nature to enjoy here in Honduras, and this is the perfect opportunity to see it!

  • My experience at the CBC school was life changing. I knew I was needed and everyone made me feel welcome and always wanted to know if there was anything I needed. English is challenging for most of the students and just talking with them and helping them feel comfortable trying to speak English is very important. They don't have books besides textbooks in either English or Spanish so are working towards a school library. After teaching for 3 months, I couldn't bring myself to say I wasn't coming back so I'm returning January 2024 for 2 months.

CBC is a great school with a heartfelt team committed to learning. I've been lucky enough to have a special experience growing my knowledge of teaching with the students at CBC and connecting with them. Nothing compares to a dance party with first graders or a group hug with kinder kids! I've had the opportunity to also sponsor 3 children, who would otherwise not have had the chance to go to a bilingual school.
